3 and 3 and 3 and 3

Let's get started with all these three's .........tomorrow we have 3 different schools coming to ski and snowtube at Seven Oaks.......that's a whole lot of kids and a whole lot of fun.......and the weather tomorrow looks like it is going to be as sweet as we have had all season....

....but then again it really looks like the next 3 days are going to be fantastic weather.......sunshine........mild winds and temps at about 30 to 32 degrees.....friday and saturday and sunday.......wow........

........and who knows what the following days will bring for weather but right now we are pretty confident we will have snow and be open for the next 3 weekends......in fact the snow is so deep that even though we probably won't be enjoying it to ski and snowboard, I would not be surprised if there isn't some snow on the trails in mid April..........but who knows......and anyway......the last three.......

.....currently we are planning the Spring Splash for Sunday March 14 and the staff has 3 fun events planned for the day on the snow and only one of them includes the POND SKIM.......are you ready???! More on the Spring Splash in a couple days......but I think it is going to be a hoot!

what have you heard?

What have you heard about NEXT weekend's weather.......some are saying the snowstorm of the decade.........who knows........I do know the 2 plus inches we got last night made for yet again unbelievable ski and ride conditions.......no wind.......just snow coming straight down........and several hundred people here to enjoy it........wow......

the snow grooming last night was sooooooooo easy with all the snow.......it was fun.......left quite a bit ungroomed for those that like it that way........

opened early this morning for a group of girl scouts to go tubing........the tubing lanes groomed up beautifully last night too.......

......then our friends from Lincoln Nebraska that have chosen Seven Oaks the last four years arrive to spend the day on the slopes.........we set up a tent for their group on the deck......so they could have their own space.......works well.....

the band that played in the lodge last night from Des Moines sounded great........had a big group here to hear them too.......

better get to work......

This weekend and splash date

Last night was a gorgeous night for skiing and snowboarding. The snow groomed real nice, a school was on site for their outing and a bunch of you took advantage of $10 lift tickets.

Weather looks very good for the next three days as well. Some snow chances for today and again Sunday late..........not too much snow predicted........but fresh snow none the less.

Makes me wonder when will the weather switch and start the ending process for this season which while it has had it's ups and downs.........rain, wind, severe cold, ice...............it has had far more wonderful snow condition days........

Target is to have the Fourth Annual Spring Splash on Sunday March 14...........more on that as we get closer........we'll have some updates on the web home page, the blog and facebook.

Tonight should be great with the music in the lodge, some amount of fresh snow and what I heard this morning was the wind will be something like 3 to 8 mph which will not affect outdoor conditions. Tomorrow morning starts with some early early morning girl scouts tubing, then our friends from Lincon Nebraska arrive for a day on the snow.......we even put up a tent on the wooden deck for them to home base in tomorrow.........a couple of birthday partys on the calendar this weekend as well.......

I don't know but the winter olympics just enhance my desires to be active in the winter.......enjoy the snow while it lasts........

I thought Shaun White's performance at the Olympics last night was incredible........and so was Lindsey in the downhill.

A Broken Record

Heard on the news tonite that we broke another record........70 straight days with at least five inches of snow on the ground.........cool.........but at Seven Oaks we have had a lot .........a lot more snow on the ground than five inches........

At the risk of sounding like a broken record........conditions just could NOT be any better than they continue to be.........what a winter!

........and at the risk of sounding like a broken record.......we have a lot on our plates this week.......with a private scouting tubing party on site tonight.......open tomorrow night.....Wednesday........then a school on Thursday......open Thursday night.......and another school Friday....open Friday night........and great temps predicted for Saturday.......with WHAT????.........three to five inches of snow possible for Saturday night........and then to be able to ski and ride on that addition on Sunday will be incredible.......

......and at the risk of sounding like a broken record.....again.......it is just fantastic that so many of you are enjoying Seven Oaks this winter......but what is really great is how many of you stop to tell us, or send us an email, or send us a letter........to say what a good time you had and how much you enjoyed the Seven Oaks Staff..........we hear it over and over about the rental crew, the instructors, food and beverage staff, outr ticket sales staff, the lift operators, the tubing gang........and the ski patrol volunteers.......Thank You customers for taking the time to give us feedback........we post all the comments for all the team to read....and .....Thank You Seven Oaks Team.......

It really is a talented group that has been assembled as the Seven Oaks team to serve you again this winter.......what a neat and fun loving group of people.......

it really is fun to have fun........and call it work.......

thanks again........
