Looks like the last week of October is when we will create the new trail. It will be on the west side of the chair lift we installed last year. You will come off the new chair, take a right, enter thru an opening in the trees and drop down from there into the valley that is on the west side of the chair lift all the way to the bottom. You will be able to cross under the chair part of the way down if so desired.
Geez, another twenty to thirty minutes in the groomer every day........but we think it will be worth it and offer up some more variety in runs. It'll probably be classified as a blue run due to the drop at the beginning.
Also going to make the unload from this chair a little less steep than last year. Should help the beginners and deter stopping the chair as much.
.....and you thought we were just goofing off when we walk around the trails during the winter.....nope, watching the patrons to see what we can do to improve the flow.
Then we also plan to increase the water holding capacity of the snowmaking pond.......more water........more snow! Bring it on!
See you Sunday.......

I do not think i have been this excited for a season in a long time!!!
GNARLY!
as in sort of the backside? a little confused..
No not the back side....the west side of the Riblet Chairlift. When you come off the chair, take a right like you were going to those two runs, except before you get to the Y for those two runs you will drop over the edge to your right.....and ride the new trail parallel to the lift
I can't wait to see the new run. See you Sunday at the preseason sale.
you should really strive to get the terrain park to 100 percent earlier this year i would definitely buy a season pass then.
with regard to the park...we do strive to get it open asap. each year's weather is different with regard to early snowfall and hours of temps cold enough to blow snow. this year with a couple more guns and more water will make a difference. it is never tooo late when we get the park open though. a season pass probably makes sense for you ....if you like to ride often.
